Post Jam Update - v0.2a


HoloJam #2 is over!
Feels like I've gone a little too overambitious for a week long project. I've waaayy underestimated the complexity of development on inventory/equipment management and procedural generation. Too many bugs for my liking and the game lacks polish in general. I did learn alot though, and honestly for a weeklong project, I am pretty proud of myself for being able to create something like this.  If you have shown me this project to my past self a month ago and told him that future me did this in a week's time, I wouldn't have believed you.

As for future updates, I may still do some minor updates here and there, but I cannot guarantee that this project will see a finish line. It shall continue to be marked as prototype until there is any change in my motivation to see it finished.

Anyway, heres the changelog for 30/12/2023.

Fixes:

- Freezing issue is fixed (hopefully, please report if still facing said issue)
- Stamina will no longer reach negative when mining, but will retain at 1. This will be panic-escape state, blocks can still be mined but no items can be picked up when stamina is 1.
- Zombies has reduced range, and no longer attack through walls diagonally.
- Weight should now be updated when discarding items.
- Items in player's inventory will now be included alongside storage inventory when checking for items in wishlists at the end of each day.
- Bonfires are now more accurately placed.

Changes:
- "Zenloss" screen added when stamina reaches 0
- Controls is changed to "WASD + mouse" instead of "mouse only" (To add setting screen in the future for toggling this)
- Some minor visual updates

Future Updates:
- Title screen (oof)
- Save/Load system
- More mobs/maps/items
- Armor crafting
- Item reforging
- More ways to repel enemies
- Fallback visuals to support mobile/low-end devices
